韓国・ソウルを拠点とするプロダクトデザインスタジオKUO DUOによる「HIKOU Collection」は、紙飛行機をモチーフに、空を軽やかに舞うような造形美と、耐久性と繊細さのバランスを追求した、彼らのデザイン哲学を体現するアルミ製家具コレクションです。

厚みわずか3㎜のアルミニウム板の軽さと柔軟性を活かしつつ、板金特有の鋭さではなく、柔らかな曲線美を採用しています。金属が持つ冷たい印象を払拭し、温かみのある佇まいを目指すことで、素材と技術の融合による新たな家具のあり方を提案しています。

SEOUL EDITIONは、HIKOUコレクションのソウル展を記念して制作された特別モデルです。無垢のアルミニウムを手作業でブラッシングし、クリアマットコーティングを施すことで、素材本来の質感を引き立てています。

Overview of the HIKOU Collection
The HIKOU Collection, created by the Seoul‑based product design studio KUO DUO, is an aluminum furniture series inspired by the motif of a paper airplane. The collection embodies their design philosophy by pursuing a balance between durability and delicacy, expressed through forms that evoke the light, graceful motion of gliding through the sky.

Material Expression and Craft
Crafted from aluminum sheets only 3 mm thick, the pieces take advantage of the material’s lightness and flexibility. Instead of emphasizing the sharpness typically associated with sheet metal, the designers adopt soft, flowing curves. This approach removes the cold impression often linked to metal and aims for a warm, inviting presence, proposing a new direction for furniture born from the fusion of material and technique.

SEOUL EDITION
The SEOUL EDITION is a special model created to commemorate the Seoul exhibition of the HIKOU Collection. Each piece is hand‑brushed using solid aluminum and finished with a clear matte coating, enhancing the natural texture and beauty of the material.
